Scout Day with the Astros

Scout Day with the Astros - September 14th

The Chicago Cubs come to town to take on our Houston Astros.  What better way to greet them than with hundreds of zealous, but well behaved scouts.  The first 10,000 folks to the stadium will receive a pink jersey.  Kids ages 5-15 will be allowed to run the bases.  The fun starts at 11:00 am with hundreds of boy and girl scouts joining in a parade.

Only 2 tickets remain for this very popular event.  If you are interested in the last two tickets, please contact Nick Cocchia before they are gone!

Kids Run the Bases
Who is allowed to run the bases?
Run the Bases is open to kids ages 5-15. For the safety of the participants, parents and older siblings are not allowed to accompany runners to the field.

How long does the running last?
The final runner generally crosses home plate about one hour after the end of the game. During that hour the popular event attracts nearly 2,000 participants.

Once the kids finish, where do they leave the field?
Runners exit the field near the end of the Astros Dugout at Section 127. Parents are welcome to occupy the seats in that area.

Parents and children should communicate with one another prior to the event and coordinate their plans to meet after the children finish running. Children that cannot find their parents will be directed to a holding area in Section 127.

Parents should use discretion in allowing children 5-8 to take part in the event.

Scout Parade
This popular parade features hundreds of kids from our friends at the Boy & Girl Scouts. Scouts and their leaders in uniform (with game tickets) may participate in the pregame parade by lining up at the right field gate by 11:00 a.m. For more information on discounted group tickets, please call 1-800-ASTROS2.
